“I CHOSE YOU!”

 John 15:12-17                    (ESV)

“[12] “This is MY commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. [13] Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. [14] You are MY friends if you do what I command you. [15] No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from MY FATHER I have made known to you. [16] YOU DID NOT CHOOSE ME, but “I CHOSE YOU” and APPOINTED YOU that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the FATHER in MY NAME, HE may give it to you. [17] These things I command you, so that you will love one another.”

YOU DID NOT CHOOSE ME, but I CHOSE YOU and APPOINTED YOU that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide!!!

Ephesians 1:3-10                   (ESV)

Spiritual Blessings in CHRIST

“[3] Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO has blessed us in CHRIST with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, [4] EVEN AS HE CHOSE US IN HIM BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, that we should be holy and blameless before HIM. In love [5] HE PREDESTINED US for ADOPTION TO HIMSELF  as sons through JESUS CHRIST, according to the purpose of HIS WILL, [6] to the praise of HIS glorious grace, with which HE has BLESSED us in the BELOVED. [7] In HIM we have redemption through HIS blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of HIS GRACE, [8] which HE lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight [9] making known to us the mystery of HIS WILL, according to HIS PURPOSE, which HE set forth in CHRIST [10] as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in HIM, things in heaven and things on earth.”

HE CHOSE US IN HIM BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD!!!

1 Corinthians 1:26-29                    (ESV)

“[26] For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. [27] But GOD CHOSE what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; GOD CHOSE what is weak in the world to shame the strong; [28] GOD CHOSE what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, [29] SO THAT NO HUMAN BEING MIGHT BOAST IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD.”

Not much commentary, but when “I CHOSE YOU” has SET YOU ASIDE in HIS service, there aren’t WORDS that can encompass the magnitude HIS PLAN!!!
