“HEAR MY VOICE!”

Psalm 5:1-3                 (ESV)

Lead Me in Your Righteousness

To the choirmaster: for the flutes. A Psalm of David.

    “[1] GIVE EAR TO MY WORDS, O LORD;

        consider my groaning. 

    [2] Give attention to the sound of my cry,

        my KING and my GOD,

        for to you do I pray. 

    [3] O LORD, IN THE MORNING YOU “HEAR MY VOICE”;

        IN THE MORNING I prepare a sacrifice for YOU and watch.”

Like King David, I VERY OFTEN find myself seemingly at a time when I NEED to HEAR FROM GOD!  But I am NOT royalty and cannot afford to shower great gifts and adorations to my CREATOR.  I am a simple man with a heart that has a vision of what I BELIEVE YOU want me to accomplish in my life…..FOR YOUR GLORY!!!  I don’t have a lot of earthly wealth and possessions, but EVERYTHING I have I surrender to GOD…..FOR HIS GLORY!!!

BEGGING HIM to HEAR MY WORDS seems so MONUMENTAL as an older person with no means to accomplish anything of any value…..FOR HIS GLORY, but HE has made something from NOTHING before and HE hasn’t lost any POWER!  HE only needs my OBEDIENCE to HIM and HIS WORD!!!

LORD IN HEAVEN, IN THIS MORNING “HEAR MY VOICE” and KNOW MY HEART and provide me the resources required to accomplish YOUR PLAN for my remaining days in this world!
