“YOU KNOW!”

Psalm 139:1-3                 (ESV)

Search Me, O GOD, and Know My Heart

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

    [1] O LORD, YOU have searched me and known me! 

    [2] “YOU KNOW” when I sit down and when I rise up;

        YOU discern my thoughts from afar. 

    [3] YOU search out my path and my lying down

        and are acquainted with all my ways.”

This morning during my “quiet time”, my mind was running wild with things, mainly worldly things, that were in my plans for later on today in my life.  But very quickly I reminisced about July 09, 2007 and being dumbfounded by my legs not holding me up!  I was trying to pull myself back on top of my bed, but was literally trying to compute why I couldn’t walk???

Almost 20 years later I can CLEARLY SEE that GOD was NOT surprised, nor was HE wondering if I would make it through the next 19+ years with VERY few disabilities.  My lovely wife seemed to KNOW, but all of the nurses, therapists, doctors and other medical professionals thought that she MUST HAVE BEEN “afflicted”!!

While “YOU KNOW”, O GOD, humanity DOESN’T have a clue, therefore FAITH IN YOU is our ONLY HOPE!  “YOU KNOW” our paths and our struggles.  “YOU KNOW” are strengths and our weaknesses.  “YOU KNOW” EVERYTHING, so what makes me think that “I can assist YOU” when you CREATED simply by saying LET IT BE!!!

“YOU KNOW” that I love YOU, but I am moved to tell YOU MORE AND MORE!!!  “YOU KNOW” what I must do to be COMPLETE IN YOUR PLAN, so I will TOTALLY TRUST IN YOU!!!  After all, “YOU KNOW”!!!
