"Only "LET EACH PERSON" lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches."
This verse has been on my heart for more than two weeks. It appears as though the Apostle Paul was speaking directly to me when he wrote this verse around 2000 years ago! Most of my life has been spent "Speed-Reading" my way through scripture, my decisions, and basically my life in an effort to "be a success"! When I read scripture, I have a desire to be changed by scripture, but I want to be changed NOW, as I think I don't have to LISTEN TO GOD!
"LET EACH PERSON" lead the life GOD assigns them lets me know that GOD is in control of MY life! The path I have traveled has not always been enjoyable. As a matter of fact, at times the struggle is burdensome. But that is usually when I realize what Paul was saying in Galatians 2:20 when he said "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." If JESUS was crucified by this world for living a perfect life, why do I expect to allow HIM living In me to bring about a life of "comfort and luxury"?
There are those who never slow down long enough to hear from GOD. They never understand the plan for their lives because THEY think THEY can figure it out as the go through life. A natural man cannot understand the things of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:14). The things of the Spirit "are folly" to the natural person. "LET EACH PERSON" submit to the Spirit does not make sense to those who do not believe.
Just because you go to church regularly, or you may even be employed as a pastor, doesn't qualify you as a Spirit-led Believer! Some people who read this have no idea what I am speaking of. But everyone CAN know. If GOD is calling you to LIFE in HIM, all you have to do is listen to HIM! "LET EACH PERSON" is not a promise that your life will be filled with "comfort and luxury". It does mean that you are hearing HIS call though. And now the choice will be made. "LET EACH PERSON"............the choice is yours!!!
