“LET US THEN!”

Hebrews 4:14-16                             (ESV)

“14 Since then we have a great HIGH PRIEST WHO has passed through the heavens, JESUS, the SON of GOD, let us hold fast our confession.

15 For we do not have a HIGH PRIEST WHO is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but ONE WHO in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

16 “LET US THEN” with confidence draw near to the THRONE of Grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

JESUS CHRIST paid a tremendous price for our salvation.  HE didn’t suffer, die, and raise again just for us to live in defeat!  We have a HIGH PRIEST WHO Created the Heavens and the earth (Colossians 1:16), both visible and invisible, that promises to never leave us nor forsake us.   

But the price HE paid must be acknowledged and HIM worshipped for HIS sacrifice.  Unless we do so, we are failing to SEE what HE has done for us.  We can’t get to Heaven without first recognizing HIS atonement, but also celebrating the LIFE HE gives us through our FAITH in HIS finished work! Unless WE Believers trust in JESUS CHRIST, we won’t make it into Heaven.   

Therefore, “LET US THEN” with confidence draw near to the THRONE of Grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
