“YOU MAKE IT KNOWN TO ME!”

 Job 42:1-6                                         (ESV)

[1] Then Job answered the LORD and said:

    [2] “I know that YOU can do ALL THINGS,

        and that NO PURPOSE OF YOURS CAN BE THWARTED. 

    [3] ‘WHO is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’

    Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand,

        things too wonderful for me, WHICH I DID NOT KNOW. 

    [4] ‘Hear, and I will speak;

        I WILL QUESTION YOU, and “YOU MAKE IT KNOWN TO ME”.’ 

    [5] I had heard of YOU by the hearing of the ear,

        but now my eye sees YOU; 

    [6] therefore I DESPISE MYSELF,

        and repent in dust and ashes.”

According to Job 1:1, Job “was blameless and upright, one who feared GOD and turned away from evil”!  But Job was used as an instrument for GOD to display to even a lowly man some 3,500 years later that GODS PLAN CANNOT BE THWARTED!  As much as I fail GOD, and as wretched as my FAITH is that HE can do ALL THINGS, the fact remains that HE is GOD and HIS PLAN WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED, even in spite of a weak follower!  

There are times when I grow weary of WAITING ON THE LORD in this “microwave society”!  “This world” tries to convince me that I “need” to know NOW, that I am important enough to be “in the know” about what is going to happen?  ALMIGHTY GOD has a PLAN and PURPOSE and my existence is only meant to GLORIFY HIM, not for me to be healthy, wealthy or prosperous!  Being used to be a small part of THE PLAN OF GOD, the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSES, is the most amazing display of GRACE that can be imagined!  

Rusty Goodman wrote a song in 1965 entitled “Who am I”.  This song has a statement that says “I wonder what I could have done

To deserve God's only Son”!  How and why would ALMIGHTY GOD allow me to be used as part of HIS PLAN is beyond my comprehension, but I am honored that HE HAS CHOSEN me!  

Making sure that I follow HIS guidance and direction is paramount to me.  Running things to what makes “sense” to “this world” should be EXACTLY what we avoid!  I WILL QUESTION YOU, and “YOU MAKE IT KNOWN TO ME” is what I desire for my life, FATHER!  “YOU MAKE IT KNOWN TO ME” is my aim in life!!!
