"Martha, Martha!"

Luke 10:38-42            (KJV)
"38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her."

A few days ago I visited this scripture and wrote about one of our dogs losing control when watching a neighborhood dog walk outside.  But the words "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things" has remained in my spirit.  I keep quoting Psalms 37:7 about "Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass", but the Martha, Martha verse remains in my mind.

When one considers all of the "EVIL" in this world today, a sense of amazement that GOD's grace is still extended to mankind comes up.  The spirits of the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah have to be experiencing relief!  The world today appears to be so vile and corrupt.  Evil abounds in our society.  Malachi 2:17 (ESV) says "You have WEARIED the LORD with your words. But you say, "HOW have we wearied him?" BY SAYING, "Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them." Or by asking, "Where is the God of justice?"

Folks, I am not a licensed minister, nor am I a recognized television preacher, but GOD'S WORD needs no famous orator to be heard!  Scripture is there for ALL to review. Like Martha, we can be SO BUSY with our lives we don't recognize the "wicked devices" transpiring all around us.  Judgement Day IS coming!
