“DO NOT BE ANXIOUS!”

Matthew 6:31-34                         (ESV)
“31 Therefore “DO NOT BE ANXIOUS”, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your HEAVENLY FATHER knows that you need them all.
33 But seek first the kingdom of GOD and HIS righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 "Therefore “DO NOT BE ANXIOUS” about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

Different versions of the HOLY BIBLE say these words differently, but most modern day translations use the words “don’t worry” when writing about Matthew 6:34.  There are many times we try to say that we aren’t WORRIED about a concern, we are just planning to avoid a catastrophe!  However, the King James Bible says it rather plainly when it says “Take therefore NO THOUGHT for the morrow:”

When you Believe GOD has given you a promise about what HE will do for you in the future, HIS Promise isn’t dependent upon what you can do to make that happen!  Do you think the Children of Israel could have poss possibly dreamed that they would have to wander in the wilderness for 40 years before being allowed to enter the Promised Land?  Sure, they were disobedient heading to the land GOD promised, but GOD was getting Glory over ALL the victories that HE was allowing them to experience!

‘GOD HAS A PLAN’ has been written men since we knew how to write.  There are numerous times that I begin my “devotional” with a different subject or outcome in mind, but GOD HAS A PLAN, not only for our lives, but even for my writings!  We don’t need to “help” GOD accomplish things that we “think” are required for HIS Plan to be fulfilled.   We just need to “DO NOT BE ANXIOUS” when the enemy traps us near the Red Sea and watch ALMIGHTY GOD gain the Glory!!!
