“THE FATHER ONLY!”

Matthew 24:36-44                        (ESV)

“36 "But concerning that day and hour NO ONE KNOWS, not even the angels of heaven, nor the SON, but “THE FATHER ONLY”.

37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

38 For as in those days before the flood they were EATING and DRINKING, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark,

39 and THEY WERE UNAWARE “until the flood came” and swept them all away, SO WILL BE THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN.

40 Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left.

41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left.

42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your LORD is coming.

43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.

44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the SON of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

There are so many people who can’t SEE that life in “this world” is but a flash, then comes the Judgement!  It is my calling to be used by GOD ALMIGHTY to reflect HIS love and forgiveness, not so that everyone will “be like me”, but so the whole world will be exposed to the GOSPEL.   

I have friends and acquaintances who are barreling through life like the end is just around the corner.   But eternity is REAL and when this BRIEF life is over we won’t have a chance for “do-overs”!!  

A few days ago I wrote about “But when one turns to the LORD, “THE VEIL IS REMOVED”!  While it is clear that some of them can’t SEE their impending fate, others seemingly CHOOSE to avoid living in PEACE and FORGIVENESS to remain in their sinful, self-serving conditions.  They are kept on a pace that has NO TIME for reflection on what will happen when their time has come.  

It is so sad that most of us don’t want to evaluate our lives and SEE that none of us are worthy of an eternity in Heaven.   ALMIGHTY GOD saw our inability to live Holy and sent JESUS CHRIST as a redemptive sacrifice for us so we could have HOPE!  Even though “THE FATHER ONLY” can deliver us from our desperation, scripture says JESUS will in no wise cast out any who the FATHER gives HIM! (John 6:36).  HE was given the thief on the cross in the waining moments of his life.   “THE FATHER ONLY” made it happen.  Can GOD THE CREATOR save you????
