“THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD!”

1 Corinthians 2:9-11                               (KJV)

“9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD hath prepared for them that love HIM. 

     10 But GOD hath revealed them unto us by HIS SPIRIT: for the SPIRIT searcheth all things, yea, “THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD”. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the THINGS OF GOD knoweth no man, but the SPIRIT OF GOD.”

After studying 1 Corinthians 2 last week, I moved onto another passage of Scripture the next day.  The following afternoon my KJV app was still on 1 Corinthians 2 and I felt compelled to meditate on the verses above for a few days.  Of course, I have heard/read verse 9 many times in my life, but THE SPIRIT OF GOD would not allow me to move on for days.  Could it be that I am being told that ALMIGHTY GOD is preparing a Blessing for me that I have never dreamed of, it has never entered my heart/mind?  

Jeremiah 32:17 (KJV) says “Ah LORD GOD! behold, THOU hast made the heaven and the earth by THY great power and stretched out arm, and THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR THEE.”  I should know that, for 13 years ago this month I was brought through the deepest, darkest valley that one could imagine!  THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR THEE was proven to me, AND THOSE AROUND ME, with very little doubt!  “A miracle from GOD” is what my doctor called it.  I didn’t realize the magnitude of the happenings for years to come.  

When we understand what “GOD hath revealed them unto us by HIS SPIRIT”, one is compelled to give credit where credit is due for HIS revelations.  Allowing GOD to speak HIS TRUTHS to a mortal man is something that is nothing but a gift from our CREATOR.  Speaking solely for me, my spirit has to BE STILL before I can hear from HIS SPIRIT and hear “THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD”!.  As GOD draws me closer to HIM, HE molds me to TRUST HIM more to understand “THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD”.  Far too often we settle for just making it through a day with nothing major happening to us.  My prayer is that GOD will develop me as an instrument to bring HIM HONOR, PRAISE and GLORY as I seek “THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD”!!!
