“THE EYES OF YOUR HEARTS ENLIGHTENED!”

Ephesians 1:15-21                                   (ESV)

“15 For this reason, because I have heard of your FAITH in the LORD JESUS and your love toward all the saints,

16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,

17 that the GOD of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, the FATHER of glory, may give you the SPIRIT of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,

18 having “THE EYES OF YOUR HEARTS ENLIGHTENED”, that you may know what is the hope to which HE has called you, what are THE RICHES OF HIS GLORIOUS INHERITANCE in the saints,

19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of HIS power toward us who believe, according to the working of HIS great might

20 that HE worked in CHRIST when W raised HIM from the dead and seated HIM at HIS right hand in the heavenly places,

21 FAR ABOVE all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.”

Having grandchildren is one of the most magnanimous Blessings that I have yet to experience.  My relationship with JESUS, my union with my wife, and the Blessings of my children are the only things that compare, and the children are only on the list because they are mandatory before grandchildren!  No one can ever describe the joy my grandchildren bring to my heart.  I tell others that when their first grandchild is born I will remind them of what they had been told, “there ain’t nothing like it”!!!

When you are Blessed to have “THE EYES OF YOUR HEART ENLIGHTENED” to “know what is the hope to which HE has called you, what are THE RICHES OF HIS GLORIOUS INHERITANCE” similar emotions will overwhelm you. To know that the GOD of CREATION has a Plan , and that you are part of that Plan, gives you the assurance that the Sovereign GOD is intimately involved with every aspect of life in general, but also with every hair of the very head that HE Created!  HE doesn’t, HE CAN’T, allow chance or circumstance to enter into the equation, or HE wouldn’t be IN CONTROL!  

So don’t fret over COVID-19, or the supposed racial discontent, tornadoes, or heat waves, or any other peril that may beset us  Since GOD is in control, and HE HAS A PLAN, TRUST that HE loves you too much to hurt you (even more than I love my grandchildren!!) and HE WILL GET GLORY over the enemy and all his hosts (Exodus 14:4)!  When we have “THE EYES OF OUR HEARTS ENLIGHTENED” to this TRUTH, we can begin to SEE our Glorious inheritance that awaits us!!!
