With all of the uproar over the mass murder of children and adults in Sandy Hook Connecticut, and other atrocities, one desires to SHOUT from the mountain tops this simple instruction from GOD's word!
King Solomon is recognized by scripture for his wisdom. He is credited as being the Author of Proverbs. If he saw the benefit of
verse 5 when it says "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding", why is there such a question arising when these tragedies occur? We cannot "understand", especially if we try to see through our eyes.
I know most will say that a good god would never have let such a thing happen. But verse 7 explains it well. "Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil." Fear HIM, depart from evil!
Lord, help me to follow the instructions of Psalms 119:15 "I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways."
