Matthew 13:10-13 (ESV)
"10 Then the disciples came and said to HIM, "Why do you speak to them in parables?"
11 And HE answered them, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
12 For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
13 "THIS IS WHY" I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand."
From my past history, not being able to communicate can be as difficult a thing as you can experience. It can be extremely frustrating trying to make some people understand things that you have had revealed to you, but you can't find the words to make others SEE! In my case, I had the ability to say "words", but they were being said in no coherent order, therefore what I said didn't make any sense! People could not UNDERSTAND what I was trying to say!
JESUS was, and is, so much "more" than any human could ever be that HE had to speak to those who still had eyes blinded, and their ears closed, and their understanding dimmed to the TRUTHS HE was speaking to them. HIS disciples eyes and ears had seen and heard, and they had understood the Message, but what they couldn't UNDERSTAND is why everyone couldn't do the same. "Why do you speak to them in parables?" JESUS replied "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given."
Over 2,000 years have passed and there are some Followers who still have a problem with understanding that it is only because it is ONLY because "it has been given" to us, not because we are worthy, but because of GOD's Grace! "THIS IS WHY" we are called, set aside, to perform a Mission that we aren't worthy of fulfilling, solely for the Glory of GOD ALMIGHTY! Don't allow the enemy to fill your hearts and minds with any of his lies! GOD's Glory is the only reason we remain on earth, "THIS IS WHY"!!!!
