“YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO IT ALONE!”

 Exodus 18:17-18

“[17] Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing is NOT GOOD.  [18] You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you. “YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO IT ALONE”.”

From experience, we can SEE needs all around us.  We can “believe” that our solution to these needs is the best way to handle them.  But when GOD was about to part the Red Sea in Exodus 14:14, HE instructed Moses to tell the Israelites “The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

There are times when “YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO IT ALONE”!  I am probably the worst at trying to figure out a plan to get through the circumstances in my future.  But GOD gently reminds me “The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”  

Moses thought he had to solve the issues of ALL the Children of Israel.  But GOD told him through Jethro “YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO IT ALONE”!  Has GOD spoken the same thing to me?  Am I listening to GOD for a solution, or am I trying to figure a way out of my predicament?  

It is not “bad” or “weak” to rely on GOD!  HE may want me to “be silent” so HE can do what only HE can do!  Please remember, “YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO IT ALONE”!!!
