"a SERVANT"

Romans 1:1                               (KJV)

"Paul, "a SERVANT" of Jesus Christ, CALLED to be an apostle, SEPARATED unto the gospel of GOD."

Recently a brother in CHRIST was conversing online our faith with someone and I added the verse above to the conversation.  The Apostle Paul considered himself nothing more than slave, or a SERVANT, to the ministry he was CALLED to.  Paul continued that he was SEPARATED to be used in the gospel of GOD.  That privilege of being used by the CREATOR to illuminate people's minds cannot be described.

Not everyone has the ability to SEE the things of GOD.  John 12:37-43 says that "they could not believe" because GOD had "blinded" their eyes and "hardened" their hearts.  Even the Pharisees of that day, thought to be the upper class in the church, were blinded because "they loved the PRAISE OF MEN more than the praise of God."

Not everyone is interested in SERVING GOD.  They are more interested in making acquaintances at church to grow their business or socialize with friends.   If someone sits in THEIR PEW, or parks in THEIR SPOT, or no one consults them about a change in the order of a worship service they feel as though someone is out to get them!

The "worship service" is not about me!  WORSHIP means that we are there to adore and celebrate GOD ALMIGHTY!  HE alone is the only ONE worthy of WORSHIP.  SERVICE is all about being a "SERVANT"!  Being upset about someone sitting in our spot, or parking where we ALWAYS park, etc.. is not exactly what Paul was referring to by being SEPARATED.  A believer should not feel SPECIAL because GOD has CALLED them to be SEPARATED.  After all, we are nothing more than "a SERVANT" of The MOST HIGH GOD!
