"GRACE vs. DISSENT???"

Titus 3:8-11       (ESV)
"The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to DEVOTE THEMSELVES to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.   But avoid FOOLISH CONTROVERSIES, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and WORTHLESS.  As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned."

Why do we allow so many things that are really insignificant to create dissension among Christians?  CHRIST came to "fulfill" (Matthew 5:17) the law and to make a way for our spirits to live eternally.  Christians, "those who have believed in GOD", should "DEVOTE THEMSELVES" more to doing "good works" than the "FOOLISH CONTROVERSIES" that cause most dissent.

The GRACE of GOD is a marvelous and wonderful gift that JESUS came to earth to provide for ALL who believe.  I can just see someone being given a brand new car of their dreams, and refusing the gift because the stitching if the upholstery was not the right color!  JESUS paid a price for my soul unmatched by any dreams or imaginations.  I will glory in that and leave the dissent to the "self-condemned"!!!
