"TURN FROM DARKNESS!"

Acts 26:12-18            (ESV)
"12 "In this connection I journeyed to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests.
13 At midday, O king, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, that shone around me and those who journeyed with me.
14 And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting ME? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.'
15 And I said, 'Who are you, LORD?' And the LORD said, 'I am JESUS whom you are persecuting.
16 But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen ME and to those in which I will appear to you,
17 delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles-to whom I am sending you
18 to open their eyes, so that they may "TURN FROM DARKNESS"  to light and from the power of satan to GOD, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in ME.'



In 2008 all we heard from "this world" was "hope and change"!  Eight years later all we hear is "Make America great again"!  The political parties used make no difference as the enemy uses deceit to his advantage in ruling "this world"!  Most don't even "see" the spiritual warfare going on around us.  They just assume that evil people are making bad choices??

Today, as it has been for the last eight years with the name "Obama", my email is now flooded with the name "Trump"!  It seems the god of "this world" always keeps an attractive alternative to worshipping GOD?  Why do we fail to recognize that PEOPLE ARE CONTROLLED BY THEIR SPIRITS when we are in the process of electing them?  However, if someone is controlled by the Holy Spirit they are considered too Holy to be a candidate for President?  Where have we become so blind to the TRUTH?

Until America realizes that returning to GOD is our only hope we will continue to be deceived by any scheme the devil chooses to use.  These two men aren't as evil as some would think, they just haven't had their "eyes" opened to see the TRUTH, and the people who vote for them haven't had their eyes opened either.  There are even Believers who haven't had their eyes opened to see the spiritual warfare transpiring right before us.  But when a leader is elected that doesn't reflect GODLY values most are left groaning!  Proverbs 29:2 says "When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan"!

JESUS told the Apostle Paul that HE was sending him to the Gentiles to and tell them to "TURN FROM DARKNESS"  to light and from the power of satan to GOD, that they may receive forgiveness of sins.  Until people begin to understand that this battle is spiritual and not political we will continue to be lost in DARKNESS!!
