The organizers of the Reunion did a fantastic job in the planning of the weekend. One thing they did was displayed photos of ones who had predeceased the remainder of us. Along with those photos were pictures of previous reunions and our school days. Memories were bountiful!
Various people have become differing professionals. One classmate became a welder, one a prison guard, while another works for an art studio. At least one of my classmates became a Physician. It must be interesting to have the responsibility of giving advice to impact someone's physical well-being. To know you are helping people live a healthier lifestyle has to be rewarding.
But, what about someone's spiritual well-being? Our body is going to wear out and die, decay, and decompose. Our "SPIRIT" will live eternally, IF WE DON'T NEGLECT IT NOW!
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 says "For our light affliction, which is but for A MOMENT, worketh for us a far more exceeding and ETERNAL weight of glory; While we look NOT at the things which are SEEN, but at the THINGS which are NOT SEEN: for the things which ARE seen are TEMPORAL; but the things which are NOT SEEN are ETERNAL."
I need to be more concerned with the things that "ARE NOT SEEN" in this life, and not be so caught up with the "TEMPORAL"!
All of what I am or hope to be is HIS! LORD, create in me a heart to serve YOU and YOUR KINGDOM!
